As we are now approaching the end of our contract with Uniform Direct who supply our school uniform, we have recently completed a full financial tender process to secure a new uniform supplier. Our Chair of Governors and both of our Parent Governors were involved in the decision-making process during the tender. We are delighted to let you know that the new Uniform Supplier from 1st June 2023 will be Morleys. They offer competitive prices with amazing quality products that are sustainably produced using recycled materials. 

Morleys have an online store where you can either click and collect from the store itself or choose to have delivery to home or to school. They have a shop in Chaddesden which offers free parking and is on a direct bus route from the city centre, so there will be lots of accessible options for you to be able to purchase uniform in good time for the start of the new academic year. They also offer a payment plan scheme upon request instore. 

Morleys will also be running a "pop-up" shop in school from Tuesday to Friday of the first week of the summer holidays (25th to 28th July) from 10:00am to 3:30pm. Parents/Carers will be able to come along and purchase uniform for next year during this week. Whichever option you choose, they recommend that all orders for September 2023 are placed by 31st July 2023.

The DCS section of the website is currently being built but we will let you know as soon as it goes live. This will be in a couple weeks’ time and it will then be available for September pre-orders.

During the tender process, we also reviewed our current uniform offer, which parents / carers were invited to contribute to. Our current school blazer badge and embroidery on our PE kit is representative of the school logo design when the school opened in 2018. This was reviewed and changed when we moved into our new school building, where you may have noticed we switched to a blue design.

To ensure that our new corporate image is fully reflected across the school, we have decided to bring the uniform embroidery in line with this. Therefore, from 1st June 2023 all uniform purchased from our official supplier Morleys will have the new blue logo embroidered on it. Students will still be able to wear any old uniform until they have outgrown it, so please don’t worry about this. We anticipate that both designs will be worn around school for some time.

A more fundamental change is the decision by the PE department to change the design and colour of the PE kit. This is being changed from the pale blue / navy polo and navy shorts to a royal blue and black round neck sports top and black shorts. We are sure the students will love the new design. As with the blazer badge change, students will still be fine to wear the old design of kit until they have outgrown it. We are also moving to a black skirt / trouser to replace the grey from September 2023 as well as introducing the option of black tailored shorts in the summer months.
