Important Information for Exam Candidates
EXAMINATION BOARDS: AQA, Pearson Edexcel, OCR and WJEC. Parents can contact exam boards only through an Exams Manager or Officer.
EXAM RESULTS DAY is 22nd August 2024 (GCSE) and 15th August for Sixth Form candidates. Further information about collection of the results slips will be communicated. Students must collect their results in person, or if unable, they need to email the school stating who is collecting the results and why, their full name and address. That person will need a signed letter from the student authorising that they are happy for them to collect the results on the student's behalf and a form of ID to verify who they are.
COLLECTION OF EXAMS CERTIFICATES: Exam boards will announce when the certificates will be sent to schools, and a few weeks later, the certificates will be available for collection at Derby Cathedral School. The information will be communicated on the website.
Staying mentally healthy during exam time (Young Minds)
As we head towards the main exam time it's worth revising how we can support young people at what can be a very stressful time.
Young Minds have a series of support pages aimed at help with exam stress and anxiety. Their advice is available to help parents and carers, and of course, young people themselves. You can find this helpful advice at the links below:
