Enrichment and 7th Session Timetable - Autumn 2024

 

We are proud of our enrichment and 7th session programme at Derby Cathedral School as it provides our students with an excellent array of activities to develop themselves both academically and physically - with plenty of fun thrown in! So far we have had a really pleasing turn out but we would encourage all families to look closely at the activities on offer and encourage your children to give something new a go!

Each half term we will be updating our timetable of activities and all students will receive a copy of the calendar below to help them make their choices.

Due to split lunches, the vast majority of activities take place at the end of the school day but we do have some activities happening at lunch time. We encourage all students to collect their lunch over break or to bring a packed lunch if they wish to go to lunch clubs.

For cooking club students will need to sign up on the classroom door as places are limited due to health and safety reasons - for all other sessions students need only turn up! 

7th Session - Enrichment - 3.15pm to 4.00pm

7th Session - Intervention

Our expectation is that students in Y11 and 13 are regularly attending intervention sessions to enable them to fill any gaps in their knowledge. Staff plan intervention sessions carefully to ensure the right information is shared with the students that need it the most.

If clubs have to be cancelled we will ensure that an email goes out to parents/carers with at least one days notice - please check your emails for regular updates
