Special Educational Needs & Disabilities

Derby Cathedral School prides itself on being an inclusive school. We cater for all students.  We work in close collaboration with our feeder primary schools and a number of external professional agencies, including the NHS, CAMHS and the Specialist Teaching and Psychology Service (STePs) at Derby City Council, to ensure we have all of the relevant information and advice for students with additional needs.

We utilise the latest and most robust diagnostic assessment tools to ensure that pupils receive the right type of help and support, and at the right time. Our SEND team is highly experienced and dedicated to ensuring that all learners succeed no matter what barriers may exist.

Our SENDCO is Mr. M Chapple. If you wish to speak with him he can be contacted via telephone 01332 325710 or by emailing FAO Mr M Chapple info@derbycathedralschool.org.uk
